The Second City and Its Harbour

Cork Harbour is often described as one of the largest natural harbours in the world by area. It was the last port of call for the Titanic, and for around 2.5 million Irish emigrants who left through Cobh between 1848 and 1950.

The clock: Ireland's summer clock is legally the standard one and winter is the deviation — a legislative quirk left over from the 1968–71 experiment with year-round summer time. The hands do the same thing either way.
