A Gate for the People Who Were Not Allowed In

Romanians were barred from living inside Brașov's walls under Saxon rule, and the Șchei Gate was built in 1828 as their entrance to the city from the suburb they were confined to. The Black Church beside it is the largest Gothic church between Vienna and Istanbul.

The clock: Brașov keeps UTC+2 in the Carpathians, which put it on the trade route between Ottoman and Habsburg territory and made it rich.
